Week 3 Class Outline

Day 1:

Ø Recap chapters 1 and 2

Ø Discuss the Commandments each of you made for your projects

Ø Read chapter 3 out loud and discuss

Ø Completet chapters 4- 6 vocabulary 

Ø Popcorn read chapter 4 and discuss

Ø I will hand out short answer questions and have them begin working on them

Ø Homework:  Finish the Chapter 3/ 4 questions, read chapter 5 and complete the assigned questions

Day 2:

Ø Turn in homework

Ø Discuss the changes on the farm and in the animals

Ø Quick-write: How might Snowball have run things if he had gotten rid of Napoleon? Would things have been any different? Are there any hints that Snowball’s ideas for running the farm would have been better? Or would they have been the same?

Ø After about 5 minutes begin to discuss what everyone thought

Ø When the discussion ends I will hand out the persuasive writing assignment and review the requirements

Ø Use the remaining to begin working

Ø Homework: Work on your speech

Day 3:

Ø Work on Speech

Ø Be ready to present on Monday
